MISS AMANDA
bio

Amanda Rivera began dancing at a very young age.  She danced competitively throughout high school, and she also attended Long Island High School for the Arts where she received rigorous training in ballet, modern, and jazz.  Wanting to continue on this path after high school, Amanda went on to earn a BA in Dance and Theater with a Dance Concentration from Manhattanville College.

Upon graduating college, Amanda began teaching immediately and has been lucky enough to call dance her full-time job for the past several years. She loves to work with kids of all ages from the littles all the way up to the older competition students.  Over the years, her choreography has won entertainment awards as well as high score placements and judges awards.

Currently, Amanda resides in New Jersey.  She has been at Create Dance Center as both a student and a teacher since the year it opened, and she’s so glad to be able to still choreograph for the company kids from so far away.  She looks forward to many more years with the best staff and students around!
