Alexander Olivieri grew up in Newark, Delaware and is a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Theatre Arts and Philosophy. His dance training began under the direction of Calen Kurka and Chris Hale, co-founders of Pushing Progress Contemporary Training Program. In New York City, he has had the privilege of dancing with contemporary and modern choreographers such as Chris Masters, Bryn Cohn, Lane Gifford, Shawn T Bible, Jackie Nowicki, Yoshito Sakuraba, and Barkin/Selissen Program Project. He has also danced works by Megan Williams, Manuel Vignoulle, Heidi Latsky, Doug Elkins, Princess Grace Award winner Raja Feather Kelly, and Emmy Award nominee, Al Blackstone. Alexander currently dances with 10 Hairy Legs, an internationally recognized all-male repertory modern dance company, BARE Dance Company, Christopher Williams Dance Company and is the rehearsal director for Robert Mark Dance. Along with performing, Alexander enjoys teaching dance and acrobatics to young dancers in the Tri-State Area. This is Alexander’s third season teaching at Create Dance Center!
